A couple of years ago, when I was trying to figure out what would truly make me happy in life, I wrote down that I want to live in a place where I can observe the sunrise and sunset every day. Essentially what I was asking for is awe. I didn't realize it at the time but nowadays I try to pause for these exact moments.
Oh, I love sunrises and sunsets. The former is so much harder for me, a non-morning person, to chase, but always so worth it in the end. I would live somewhere where I can have a view of the horizon (which may include sunrise/sunset if we are in the right direction), but the wide perspective gives me the feeling of awe-filled peace. And a bonus is when at night it’s dark enough for stargazing ❤️
