I know exactly what you mean about having first wake moments to practice mindfulness – but only if you wake before the kids! I haven't had a day of waking before the kids for a few weeks, which makes my morning pages full of distraction, and yet, the practice still feels good to achieve before properly starting my day. I must admit, I've been struggling to be mindful in other areas lately as I've got a few projects ongoing, however, I do aim to spend a few moments outside in the sun when I take my dogs outside.

Yes, it's also my constant challenge to try to wake before my kids! :) a nice walk with the dogs sound really good. And it's always a struggle for me to be mindful, it's a journey and process!
