Visiting the Black forest is in my family's travel list! And glad you got to reconnect with friends on a trip! I did that this year back in February and I left feeling sooo refreshed.
I went there when I was younger with my family for vacation a few times and we also went on cute themed hicking trails! The one I can still remember was all themed around a capercaillie🍀
Hi Nika, yes! Black forest in Germany, we live nearby. The picture shown is exactly the one themed around looking for Anton, the capercaille! It's our favorite thus far.
I've dropped a comment in the post before; it's probably because mortality was on the back of my mind, the remark from your husband brings forth thoughts. We never really know when we will die but we surely will; it's really a strange thing...

Yes Sarah, that's the feeling - so refreshed, and rejuvenated! Do visit some time and if you do, don't forget to give me a ping!
Do you perhaps mean the black forest in Germany?

So nice to know it's been around a while :)
That's amazing! It was a lot of fun🍀 I wish there were fun hiking trails like this everywhere🍁
I agree! There should be more everywhere to cultivate the love for nature in children...
Always nice to read these letters in my inbox ( or my substack) , Rachel.
Thank you, Sanket! It's readers like you that kept me writing :)
Sounds like you are having a great time, reunion in Bali and now a family vacation. Glad to hear that all is well and good 😻
Thanks Lani! Life is good indeed, so grateful!
Thanks for the mention. I wonder how you found that piece, based on such an offhand comment from my husband.
