This is great. Honest but human. I too practice yoga and meditation then get all grumpy and shouty at times. Doesn't always work but it all helps methinks. I just subscribed to read more.

Your writing is beautiful, Rachel. And so much of what you've said resonates with me. I have intentions and ways in which I want to live slower and gentler and more mindfully, but that comes up against daily life that feels so busy and dependent on me moving too fast that my mind can't keep up. Yet, I still come back and try again to find ways of truly living slower and gentler. For me it's the trying, not always finding success, but then trying again. Forever a journey.
